Welcome to YourSecret! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our anonymous social platform (“Service”). By using YourSecret, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

1. General Terms

YourSecret.org and YourSecret.app are operated by Farnora Limited (Ireland). These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including our Gen Z and Millennial community in the USA. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the platform. YourSecret promotes anonymous interactions; users are encouraged not to share personally identifiable information publicly within any anonymous chat rooms.

2. Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use YourSecret. If you are under the age of 18, you confirm that you have parental or legal guardian consent (in accordance with COPPA). This Service is designed for students and young adults seeking a safe anonymous social space.

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect legal or operational changes. Material updates will be announced in the app or via email. Continued use of the platform after such changes means you accept the updated Terms.

User Responsibilities & Prohibited Conduct

By using YourSecret, you agree to use the platform only for lawful, non-commercial, and respectful purposes, such as anonymous texting and peer support.

  1. Violate any law or regulation (local, state, federal, or international).

  2. Post or share illegal content, including malicious AI-generated materials, within the anonymous social network.

  3. Use the platform to harass, de-anonymize other users, or misuse anonymous messaging app systems.

  4. Publish or distribute:

    • Pornographic, violent, or hateful content
    • Content involving minors inappropriately
    • Malicious AI-generated or deepfake content
    • Spam, phishing, or scam materials

  5. Attempt to:

    • Hack, disrupt, or damage the platform
    • Circumvent bans or enforcement mechanisms
    • De-anonymize other users or misuse anonymous systems

Reporting Violations

We encourage users to report any violations of these Terms or our Community Guidelines using the in-app reporting tools or by contacting us directly at support@yoursecret.org.

YourSecret reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without notice.

Content Ownership & Platform Moderation

3.1. User-Generated Content (UGC)
You retain ownership of any content, such as anonymous confessions or posts, that you submit to YourSecret. You grant us a license to host and moderate this content solely for operating the platform.

3.2. Moderation Rights
YourSecret reserves the right to remove any content, including an anonymous secret message, that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

3.3. No Obligation to Monitor
We are not obligated to monitor all user activity or content. However, we may monitor, preserve, and disclose content if required by law or in good faith to:

  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Respond to lawful requests from authorities
  • Protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the platform and its users

3.4. Section 230 Disclaimer (U.S. Law)
In accordance with Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, YourSecret is not liable for user-generated content. We act as a neutral intermediary for anonymous texting with strangers and do not assume responsibility for user posts.

4. Disclaimers & Legal Terms

4.1. Disclaimer of Warranties
YourSecret is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that the anonymous chat app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

4.2. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Farnora Limited (Ireland) and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD or the amount paid by you (if any) in the past 12 months.

4.3. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YourSecret and its team from any claims arising from your violation of these Terms or infringement of third-party rights.

4.4. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. However, we respect the privacy and safety standards expected by our US students and users.

4.5. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or applicable law.
